New York: Mark Ecko, Hip Hop clothing designer wins case for graffiti against City Hall. Hey, let’s face it, it’s a form of urban artistic expression.
“This will allow young people to celebrate
graffiti,” said Ecko. “Today, it’s about them as

Andre over at Emergent Mosaic put me on to some good conversation about diversity & the Emergent Church. Here’s an excerpt,
“In a lot of ways, the emergent church struck me as, well, the Christian equivalent of the grunge movement. A little subversive, a little edgy, and whole lot of white, middle class evangelicals trying to [...]

I walk into a classroom with the hopes of facilitating an environment that stimulates both students and myself to critically think, reflect and advocate on the incredibly important, but often dreaded topic of social welfare policy. I can already see the eyes glazing over, brains are building mental barricades that include the following thoughts: “policy [...]

The day before yesterday our church plant team had one of those unexpected close encounters with the “good news” during a visit to a neighborhood resident at the Lillian Wald Projects. She had invited us over for a time of prayer in her home some time ago, so we finally made it out for a [...]

Took my dad to the ball game yesterday as a late Father’s Day gift. The NY Mets ended up losing 6-4 in the 9th inning. Guess that’s why i always say it takes a lot of character to be a Mets fan in the Big Apple.
